Rhetorical Situation and their Constituents

  1.        After reading  “Rhetorical Situations and Their Constituents” by Keith Grant_Davie, I found a lot of benefit to our reading and writing. First the author explains that Blitzer’s defines rhetorical situation as “The context in which speakers or writers create rhetorical discourse”(Grant-Davie 104). It is a situation which communication takes place also, anyone who wants to communicate something; they have to always analyze the situation. According to Grant-Davie from his essay “Rhetorical Situations and Their Constituents. It has four major components. Which are: exigence, rhetor, audience and constraints. These four components are really helpful to our writing and reading. According to author, rhetor is the person or writer who is responsible for any argument or ideas. Audience is the people who communicate directly with writers. Constraints are the factor in situation where effect the achievement of rhetorical object. These components are really important to us, when we read and write something. If we analyze these things to our reading and writing it helps to develop our critical thinking and effective analyzing power.
